Our Process

Diagnose

Bersche-Rolt’s holistic approach to the structural repair process starts with a free of charge site appraisal and survey by one of our surveyors, who will visit site to record the extent and assess the significance of the damage.

If the cause of the damage requires further diagnosis, we will identify the requirements for investigation work, which we will undertake in-house and may consist of the following:

  • Crack monitoring
  • Soil sampling, examination and testing
  • Examination of foundation, ground and water conditions
  • CCTV drainage surveys and water testing
  • Concrete condition surveys, sampling and testing
  • Cavity wall tie density and condition surveys
  • Petrographic mortar examination

The findings of the investigation work and test results are analysed by our engineer who will prepare a report identifying the cause of the damage and recommendations for appropriate remedial action.

Design

Once the cause of the structural damage has been determined, our engineer will design an appropriate repair scheme, which may specify a combination of structural repair solutions.

Where necessary the design will be accompanied by an engineer’s report, calculations and CAD drawings along with detailed priced proposals and specifications prepared by our estimators.

Repair

The implementation of the repair scheme is then carried out in-house by our highly trained, specialist site personnel, who are carefully selected according to the requirements for each project, their skill set and location in the UK.

We do not licence outside contractors to install our masonry reinforcement products, which allows us to maintain full control over the quality of Bersche-Rolt installations. Completed projects are covered by 10 year insurance backed guarantees as standard.
