Project

Dropped Dutch arch on gable wall of primary school without lintel support.

Panel above and below circular window cracked as a consequence and since the introduction of a new doorway.

Brickwork now supported on top of the window.

Solution

Reinforce brickwork panel above circular window.

Install remedial lintel system over flat arch to support brickwork above.

Rake out and fill cracks with shrinkage compensated mortar and repoint.

Install angle lintel to support flat arch.
