In order to ensure that the masonry reinforcement is correctly installed it is essential that the operators are correctly trained. In addition to developing these skills the operative also receives health and safety training. They are encouraged to work towards their CSCS qualifications and first aid awareness.

Courses covering these subjects are made available to each operator and a record is kept detailing the amount of experience and their qualifications.

  • Installing masonry reinforcement
  • Brickwork and pointing
  • Installing remedial ties
  • Installing resin fixings
  • Installing lateral restraints
  • Roof bracing
  • Concrete repairs
  • Safe mixing and use of grouts and mortars

Bridges

  • Core driling below the surface of the masonry
  • Grout injection and the installation of reinforcement

Health and Safety

  • The use of low level access systems and access towers
  • The use of ladders
  • The scaff tag system
  • Maintenance of plant and equipment
  • PAT testing
