Reinforced Masonry Lintels

Bersche-Rolt’s patented stainless steel masonry reinforcement systems are installed in the walls of a building to form composite masonry beams which act to spread the imposed loads evenly throughout the structure, allowing it to move as a single unit.

We install our systems as cost effective alternatives to traditional methods of repair, such as mass concrete underpinning, as well as being used as non-disruptive and concealed solutions for crack stitching, forming remedial lintels and the repair and strengthening of bridges.

Developed and manufactured in-house, our reinforcing bars are designed to provide superior tensile performance as well as an excellent bond with the surrounding masonry.

The reinforcement can be used for full perimeter applications or for the local stiffening and restraint of damaged areas, often forming one part of an overall repair scheme featuring multiple structural repair solutions.

  • High tensile Grade 304 or 316 stainless steel (1.4301 to BS EN 10088)
  • Characteristic strength of 500 Mpa (BS 6744:2016)
  • Solid in cross-section with a greater cross-sectional area
  • Fixed locating spacers hold bars centrally in the groove or hole
  • Cementitious, shrinkage compensated, thixotropic 40 MPa bonding mortar
  • Full building perimeter applications
  • External installation of inner leaf reinforcement
  • Available in any length and a wide range of diameters
  • Manufactured in the UK and independently tested by The University of Bradford

  • Significant cost and time savings
  • Minimal disruption to building occupants
  • Appearance of building left virtually unaltered
  • Enables structure to move as a single unit
  • No hard spots or local high stresses
  • Superior tensile performance
  • Excellent bond with masonry
